DETROIT (WXYZ) — A $10,000 cash reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest in the murder of celebrated local DJ Byron Gilbert, otherwise known as DJ Slick B.

Gilbert, 28, was fatally shot on Feb. 7 near the Hemp Museum, where Gilbert was scheduled to perform earlier that night.
Gilbert was with another man when a suspect approached them and tried to rob them at gunpoint. Gilbert died from his injuries. The other man, 25, survived.
Police said the suspected shooter took off in a dark-colored SUV.
