DETROIT (WXYZ) — A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection to a, October carjacking on Detroit's west side. The victim of this crime was shot in the face outside a gas station after the two suspects robbed him before taking his vehicle.
The incident happened Oct. 25 at 1:30 a.m. in the 11300 block of Dexter.

Tips from the public led to the arrest of Austin Williams, 17. He was arraigned Nov. 4 and is charged with carjacking, armed robbery, unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle and receiving and concealing stolen property.
Police are still looking for a second suspect in this crime. Another 17-year-old who is believed to be the shooter.
The 50-year-old victim survived the attack and is recovering from his injuries.
