OTSEGO CO., Mich. (WXYZ) — Troopers from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post arrested two people for suspected drunk driving of a snowmobile following a crash early Sunday.
Troopers arrived in the area of North Otsego Avenue after a snowmobile crashed, causing a ski to lodge under railroad tracks, investigators say.
Two drivers were arrested and additionally charged with railroad trespassing and failure to report a snowmobile crash.
Officers say it took several hours to free the snowmobile using a wrecker company. The railroad tracks will now undergo an inspection by Lake State Railway to assess damages.
