DETROIT (WXYZ) — The man accused of blocking traffic on I-94 in Detroit to do donut stunts appeared in court Tuesday.
A judge ruled that 22-year-old Devin Ray Cronk be taken into custody on the standing misdemeanor charges.
On Dec. 27, 2019, Wayne County prosecutors charged Devin Ray Cronk, of Allen Park, with misdemeanors including reckless driving and disturbing the peace. Cronk was not in custody at the time of the charges.
He turned himself into the Detroit Police Department on Jan. 2, 2020 and received a $100 cash bond.
On Dec. 22, 2019 around 8:00 p.m., it is alleged that he was driving a car doing donuts in the middle of I-94 while other drivers were on the road. While he was doing this, it is alleged that he was endangering citizens who were near his car. Cronk was identified as the driver of the car and was approached by police officers and fled on foot on Dec. 25, 2019, according to prosecutors.
His arraignment was orignially scheduled for last Thursday but was postponed.
