BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP (WXYZ) — Bloomfield Township police posted a throwback video of one of their officers playing "Jump" by rock band Van Halen. The video was recorded back in 2016, and was was posted Tuesday as tribute to lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen following announcement of his death.

Eddie was 65 and had been battling throat cancer for over a decade. Eddie's son Wolf announced his father's passing on Twitter.
