(WXYZ) — People are rallying to support the family of a Beaumont nurse in her own fight with COVID-19.

Friends have set up a GoFundMe for Lorna Venus, who got sick after taking care of a patient who tested positive after passing away in March.

Lorna has been in the hospital for more than five weeks now, and a friend tells us her husband and two children recently had a FaceTime visit.

He tells us her condition is improving.

Friends and family of Lorna have created a GoFundMe account for donations to her family.
