City of Detroit & Wayne County will allow outdoor swimming pools to reopen

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The City of Detroit Health Department and Wayne County Health Department has rescinded its order closing all pools after Gov. Whitmer rescinded the stay-at-home order on Monday.

The city is still reminding Detroiters to take precautions – including social distancing and wearing a mask – despite the order being rescinded.

If you think you've been exposed to the virus, you can make an appointment to get tested by calling 313-230-0505.

Indoor swimming pools must remain closed, but outdoor pools can open immediately, with outdoor gatherings of up to 100 able to happen as early as June 4.
