Costco bringing back free samples in mid-June

(WXYZ) — Costco is set to bring back its free in-store samples next month.

The wholesale warehouse stopped offering free samples back in March due to the coronavirus – as a way to help prevent the spread of the virus.

In an earnings call on Thursday, the company's CFO said the samples will return in mid-June.

Costco says changes will be made, such as shoppers not being able to take a sample from a tray.

It's unclear how shoppers will be able to eat the samples since the company requires everyone in their stores to wear masks.
