(WXYZ) — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's office announced Wednesday evening that the executive order in place to provide child care relief for the essential workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic has been extended.
This comes after the governor announced the extension of the stay-at-home order through April 30. The child care relief executive order extends until May 13.
“This Executive Order ensures health care workers on the front lines battling COVID-19 have access to child care,” Whitmer said. “With schools closed across the state and babysitters and grandparents staying home and staying safe, it’s critical the men and women risking their health and safety to protect ours have reliable and dependable child care.”
