Local salons collecting non-latex gloves to donate to hospitals

(WXYZ) — Metro Detroit cosmetologists are helping support local hospitals by holding a glove donation drive on March 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cosmetologists Care is the name of the event. With the spread of the coronavirus, many local hospitals are in need of basic supplies.

On Monday, salons across metro Detroit are collecting boxes of unused gloves, preferably non-latex gloves.

Donation locations are listed below.

* Supercuts Allen Park 23017 W. Outer Drive, Allen Park (near Starbucks)
* Supercuts Livonia Wonderland 29587 Plymouth Rd., Livonia (in front of Walmart)
* Supercuts Bloomfield Hills + 883 W. Long Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills (Kroger Plaza)
* Supercuts Rochester Hills 41 S. Livernois, Rochester Hills (next to Panera)

Donations will also be taken on Tuesday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Bloomfield Hills only.
