(WXYZ) — A metro Detroit grocery delivery business is working hard to keep up with the demands of customers amid COVID-19.

But even though their plates are full, they’ve decided to pile on even more work to help protect those on the front lines.

Family means everything to brothers Matthew and Brian Loussia. in 1991 their late father founded Value Wholesale Distributors in Oak Park.

The business has always been grounded in tradition and love. Though that fact remains, times are different now. The coronavirus is keeping them consumed around the clock.

Because, for them, family also extends beyond blood. And that means to us - the customers.

As you can imagine, they barely have a moment to blink. But a friend, Clif Wells of Digireal, LLC, came up with an idea they could not refuse, combining their skills and time to make face shields for the healthcare professionals working on the front lines, fighting the virus.

The goal is make more than 2,000 a day to give to those who desperately need them. So they need your help to keep production going.

Remember, we are all in this together!
