LAKE ORION, Mich. (WXYZ) — A worker at the Lake Orion FedEx ground facility has tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokesperson said that the company quickly took the appropriate actions to sanitize areas in which the individual worked, as well as common areas within the facility.

The company also spoke with any individuals with whom the worker was in prolonged close contact.

"Across our network, we continue to encourage our team members to take any signs of illness seriously and seek medical attention as needed. We are also following guidance from leading public health organizations and expert consultants regarding hygiene practices, social distancing and preventive cleaning measures," the company said in a statement.
