OAKLAND COUNTY (WXYZ) — A staff member at Kenbrook Elementary School in Farmington Hills has tested positive for COVID-19, the school district confirmed Thursday.

The staff member is under self-quarantine. Oakland County Health Officials were notified of the case and have been working with the district on next steps.

The exposure risk to general staff and student population is low, according to health officials.

"Health officials are interviewing/reaching out/providing assistance directly to individuals with an elevated risk of exposure who may have been in recent close contact with the staff member," said Farmington Public Schools Superintendent Bob Herrera. "All families directly impacted by this news will be contacted."
