The number of coronavirus deaths in Michigan is now at 5,158 while the number of cases is at 53,913, according to the latest numbers released by the State of Michigan on Friday afternoon.
That's up just 29 deaths and 403 cases from the day before. It's the third-lowest number of new cases in one day since March after 196 on May 4 and 370 on May 13.
Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan will give another coronavirus update on Friday afternoon.
Duggan will talk about business reopening plans and how those businesses can get PPE, and preview Everybody vs. COVID-19/ 2020 Census digital festival to be held May 29-30
