Michigan saw the highest increase in COVID-19 cases since May 31, announcing 353 new cases, according to new numbers released by the state on Thursday. The state also reported 18 new deaths.

There are now 62,306 confirmed cases total in the state and 5,886 deaths. The number of active cases also increased to around 6,800.

This is the fourth straight day the number of cases has increased, and the second straight day the number of new cases has been over 300. On Wednesday, the state reported 323 new cases. There were 513 new cases on May 31
