TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The CYCLEBAR location on Big Beaver Rd. in Troy closed its doors on Aug. 16, but customers and workers say they were never given a proper explanation, nor have there been any refunds issued to those who paid for classes in advance.

“We feel cheated and we thought this was a family. We came here for almost 3 years and always felt like we deserved a better ending than this” says customer Chris Loudermilk. Chris tells us his wife still has 15 unused passes, and his credit card was charged for several more weeks.

We tried contacting the franchise owner, but he hung up the phone immediately. Soon after, a representative from CYCLEBAR corporate called us to say a new owner would re-open the facility in the next month or two.

He also pledged to refund all customers any charges they would not be able to use.

“I just want an apology as well as a refund. It’s not right for those of us who lived close by and loved working out here” says Loudermilk.

We’ll stay on top of this story, to make sure the business makes those promised refunds.
