DETROIT (WXYZ) — Wayne County prosecutors have charged a woman in connection to the May 18 police shootings that injured three police officers.

Breanna Washington, 22, is expected to be arraigned in court Wednesday for her alleged involvement with the shootings that wounded two Detroit Police officers and injured a third.

On May 18 at 10:35 p.m., three uniformed police officers were on routine patrol in a fully marked vehicle when they stopped to investigate a sports utility vehicle in the alley of the 16500 block of Greenfield.

The vehicle was allegedly driven by accomplice 22-year-old Deantrae Corey Oneal with Washington in the front passenger seat.

While Officer Christopher Bush investigated Oneal, he became uncooperative and placed the car in reverse, hitting Officer Bush’s legs. It is alleged that Oneal then got out of the car and fired a handgun weapon at the three officers.

As a result, the officers fired back at Oneal before he ran off.

An investigation by the Detroit Police Special Response Team led to Oneal's arrest, who broke into a home on the 15700 block of Prest and was found hiding in the basement.

Washington has been charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact. It is alleged that she gave false information to the police when they were investigating the shooting incident.

She will be arraigned at the 36h District Court at 1 p.m.
