Former U.S. Congressman John Dingell tweeted out an update on his condition after suffering a heart attack Monday.
He said that rumors of his "demise" have been slightly exaggerated.
Still in good spirits, and a seemingly humorous mood, Dingell added, "I'm still here and you're not done with me yet. Thankful for all of your thoughts, your prayers, and for @RepDebDingell. Just not in that order."

Dingell, a former congressman for Michigan's 12th District, is currently at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
His wife, U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, has been providing updates on her Facebook page. She has thanked the public for their "warmth, love and prayers the last twenty four hours."
