STERLING HEIGHTS (WXYZ) — Here at 15 Mile Road and Dodge Park in Sterling Heights, customers say they’ve found a great place to combine talks of politics with favorites like pancakes.

Inside one of Macomb County's favorite restaurants, they're serving delicious food made from scratch daily. For more than 17 years, loyal customers have found it a go-to place to also talk about America's future.

“It’s a very important election and on the top of everyone’s mind for sure,” said one customers.

Customers like Christina Taylor came in with her 5-year-old son Teddy on Thursday, with the upcoming presidential election on their minds.

On the heels of last night's VP debate, there are lots of differing opinions.

“I’m a big fan of Sen. Harris and VP Joe Biden," one customer said. "I just like what they are saying and the direction they want to go in.”

Another customer adding, "I already know who I’m going to vote for and I voted for him last time. He’s done a good job as far as I’m concerned,” referring to President Trump.

One thing customers and Dodge Park coney island's owner also agree on is the fact Macomb County is crucial for determining the outcome of our state. And much like Macomb County, people living here in Sterling Heights are expressing support for both President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. It's also being done respectfully.
