(WXYZ) — The Michigan Attorney General collected 10 years' worth of past-due child support payments going back 10 years for the 14-year-old daughter of an artist who has had his paintings commissioned by celebrities.

Richard T. Slone's daughter and her mother, who live in Southeastern Michigan, received nearly $29,000 in past-due payments, the AG said.
Slone was buying million-dollar homes in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, earning tens of thousands of dollars on his paintings commissioned by celebrities, while his daughter and her mother relied on state aid, the AG's office said in a release.
According to Slone's website, he is an artist from the United Kingdom who has painted portraits of notable figures like Donald Trump, Eminem, Hugh Hefner and more. His artwork has been used on official posters and programs for major boxing events, including Mayweather vs. Pacquiao and Mayweather vs. McGregor.
"With no signs of slowing down, Slone is rapidly positioning himself as the premier sports artist across the globe," his website says.
Failure to pay child support is a felony in Michigan.
“We believe in bringing deadbeat parents to justice and collecting the child support payments vulnerable families are owed,” Dana Nessel said in a release. “Those seeking to shirk their responsibility as parents should heed this warning: This office will do everything we can to find you and make certain your families are properly supported.”
