Farmington Hills family offers $1,000 reward for return of dog stolen in May

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Farmington Hills family is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of their Malteses and Yorkie mix named Hennessy who was stolen in May.

On May, 29, the dog's owner was walking his two dogs when two to three suspects exited a vehicle and took the dogs. When the suspects drove away, the owner attempted to retrieve one dog and was dragged by the car for a short distance.

The owner was not able to rescue Hennessy.

According to police, the suspects are described as black males in their teens or early twenties. The driver of the vehicle was described as a black female, also believed to be in her teens or early twenties. The vehicle is described as a silver subcompact, possibly a Chevy Aveo or Spark.

Hennessy is a 1-year-old Maltese, Yorkie mix. He's 5 pounds and brown.
