LIVINGSTON COUNTY (WXYZ) — Former Livingston County Judge Theresa Brennan will be released from jail two weeks early, county officials said Monday.
"We always said that she would be treated like any other inmate and inmates can be eligible for good time by working inside the jail," said Livingston County Sheriff Michael J. Murphy.
In January, Brennan was sentenced to six months in jail and 18 months probation after pleading guilty to perjury.
She pleaded guilty on December 3rd. Two other charges of misconduct in office and tampering with evidence were dismissed in a plea deal.
The case centers on her lying in a deposition in her divorce.
Brennan will officially be released Wednesday, June 10. She was originally sentenced to remain in jail until June 25.
