Grant Me Hope: Meet 14-year-old Destiny

Posted

“I’m nice. I’m funny. I help people out, and I care about people,” said Destiny – a 10th grader.

She wants to be a lawyer when she grows up.

“I want to go into law because I want to help people.  I don’t want them to be by [themselves].  I don’t want them to have to fight alone,” she explained.

“In a few years, I see myself having a car and having a house and stuff with a dog or a cat cause they’re  really fun,” she smiled.

“The forever family I’m looking for is a Mom, Dad and brother and sister.  I want to be the youngest,” she added.

Whether it’s dancing, coloring, board games, going shopping or watching TV, she’s up for anything.

She would really enjoy just hanging out at home or on a vacation.

But this foster child is really ready to find her forever family.

“Adoption means to me having a family, living a nice life, and being in a family with sisters or brothers or Dad and a Mom,” said Destiny.

“I just want to have a normal life,” she added with a smile.
