Johslin has been in the foster care system for more than seven years.  She is still hoping and praying she'll find a family who will love her and care for her.

She's not giving up hope.

The 17-year-old loves to dance and sing.

She's also into fashion.  So, all you celebrity stylists out there, get ready.  Johslin could give you some stiff competition!

“I like to shop. I like to do hair. I like to go out of town,” she said when asked about her interests.

She considers herself to be a “girly-girl.” One of her main interests is styling hair.
“I’m bubbly, adventurous, and I like to try new things,” she explained.

Her social worker says “Johslin is very independent, driven, and a strong advocate for herself.”

In addition to singing and dancing, Johslin likes to listen to music, go for bike rides, take walks, and cook her favorite foods.

Johslin is a bright student who does well in school. She enjoys writing, and she has dreams of what she wants to do in the future.

“When I grow up I want to be a special education teacher. The reason that I want to do that is because my brother [has] special needs, and I connect with people with Autism,” said Johslin.

Even though she is a teenager, she still hopes one day she’ll be adopted.
“I’m looking for a Mom and Dad or a Mom. I don’t mind having siblings. [I would like] someone that can care for me and help me with my flaws,” she said.

“I think I deserve a family because I’m outgoing, I’m personable, I’m funny, I like to smile,” she beamed.
