Playing with her teddy bear and other stuffed animals is one of Heather’s favorite things. But this 10-year-old in foster child is hoping to be adopted by a couple who will enjoy spending time with her, too.

“My favorite movie is Trolls,” said Heather softly.

She likes watching movies, swimming, bowling, shopping or going on long car rides.

She also likes eating out at restaurants.

“My favorite food is yogurt and milk,” Heather explained.  Strawberries and cookies and cream are also tops on her list.

There’s one color she holds dear above all others.

“She loves the color green and anything that has to do with green – green carpets, green clothes. She will wear it and love it,” said he worker enthusiastically.

“She is in kindergarten. She has a mind of her own. She definitely doesn’t do something if she doesn’t want to do it, and she will let you know that,” the worker chuckled.

Heather would do best with two female parents or a mom and a dad who can provide supervision and one-on-one attention.

“Heather definitely needs a family that will give her good structure in terms of consistency. She needs a routine,” explained her worker.

“She also would do best with a family that is knowledgeable of the impact of trauma on children and how to move forward as far as her behavior and development goes,” the worker added.

“Heather would bring to the family laughter and energy and just fun,” said the worker. “She is a smart girl. I hope she does find that forever family that is patient and loving and will let her grow.”

“I want a family. I want a house with a family,” said Heather sweetly.
