Grant Me Hope: K'lub is a 14-year-old sports fan

Posted

K’Lub – who recently turned 14 – has a smile that can light up a room. His charming personality is one of his best traits. He makes friends quickly.

“I’m a cool, laid back, funny kind. If you’re in a bad mood, I can turn that mood upside down,” he said.

Whether it’s video games or watching movies, K’Lub is a pretty easy going guy who likes to relax or go out.

“Activities I’d like to do -- hang out with my friends, go to the mall and stuff like that,” he added.

“I’m goofy, but I’m not goofy like I always want to stand out in a bad way,” he explained.

He’s also a huge sports fan.  He loves playing football and basketball. Spartans are his favorite team.

“It would be great to have a Dad who will go with me to work out. I gotta get big,” he grinned as he squeezed his biceps. “I’m about to be this running back!”

As for school, he knows it’s important.

“I can’t get nowhere in life without school.  It doesn’t really matter what college, as long as I get an education,” he said.

“I just don’t like being bounced around from place to place,” he admitted.

He is grateful for his foster experiences, but the teen would really like to find a forever family.

“They always want them little kids,” he said.

What he really wants is to find a family who will share his interests.

According to his case worker, K’Lub would do best in a family with two experienced parents. However, a single male parent could work as well.   K’Lub looks up to strong male role models.

He also would benefit from being in a forever home where he’s the only child and there are no pets.

“It doesn’t matter what type of family they are as long as they care for me,” said K’Lub.
