One of metro Detroit's most powerful civil rights leaders is neither endorsing or rejecting the citizen's petition drive to recall Michigan Governor Rick Snyder over the Flint water crisis. In an interview for today's Spotlight on the News program (10am on Channel 7), Rev. Wendell Anthony, the president of the Detroit Branch NAACP, is letting democracy run its course. However, Anthony did express concern about what could come next if Snyder is forced from office. He acknowledged that the Governor's political reputation has been severely damaged by the Flint scandal and that Snyder personally has a lot invested in fixing the lead-contaminated problem that has damaged the health of thousands.
