The man behind the wheel in the deadly hit-and-run crash that left a woman's body in the street has been arraigned.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Tyler Stewart, of Clinton Township, was charged with counts including manslaughter, operating with a license suspended and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
Stewart and the woman got into an argument at the Ruth Motel on Oct. 24. The couple decided to leave the motel in Stewart's car in the early morning. When Labellarte tried to exit the vehicle, she was run over and Stewart left the scene.
Stewart was given a $500,000 bond and is due back in court on Nov. 7 for a probable cause hearing.
