Man charged after shooting person in face then barricading inside Ann Arbor apartment

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 28-year-old man is charged with assault after allegedly shooting a person in the face and then barricading himself inside an Ann Arbor apartment complex.

Justin Anthony Heinze was arrested following the incident which happened Friday, Feb. 7 at the Hidden Valley Club Apartments near State Street and Eisenhower Parkway, police say.

He's now charged with assault with intent to commit murder, four counts of felony in possession of a firearm and three counts of resisting arrest, according to court documents.
