No charges brought against men involved in shooting at Bosco Lounge in Ferndale

FERNDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office has decided not to bring charges against anyone involved in a shooting outside the Bosco Lounge in Ferndale on Aug. 29.

The decision was announce Tuesday, stating that "the investigation remains open and active" and that no further updates will be provided pending "significant developments."

The shooting happened Friday night at the lounge on Woodward Avenue, and involved two security guards at the establishment.

According to the owner of Bosco, it was just after a.m. when a man was asked to leave the lounge for yelling at a hostess. Moments later, outside, a customer allegedly punched a security guard and pointed a gun at him.

The owner said one or two security guards then opened fire on the customer. The customer and his brother were both hit.

One of the shooting victim's is in critical condition at the hospital, the other was treated and released.

The two security guards have been released from Ferndale police lock up pending further investigation.
