WXYZ DETROIT — Once again, it’s time to check-in on our viewer feedback. Our recent editorial reminding Michiganders about the importance of voting in the August 5th Primary Election sparked this reaction.
David DeSmet said:
“Never forget January 6th, 2021.”
Ken Trosper replied:
“I think you mean don’t forget the Biden era with the open border….”
But there were also some non-partisan comments. Mark Williams wrote:
“Thank you so very much for having the (Detroit) mayoral candidates on your show. I’ve been a native Detroiter all of my life. I will be 63 in August this year. I’m a homeowner on the west side. My concern is home repair. My wife and I are retired. My goal is to vote for the person who will ensure that seniors like us will have the resources we need to keep our homes up. Thank you again for having them on so we can decide who to vote for.”
Another viewer said:
“I always vote in the primary elections. They are as important as the November elections. If you do one but not the other, you’ve only done half of your job as a registered voter!”
- D. Richmond
Our editorial on raising funds for Forgotten Harvest to help feed the need caused Jerry Legge to write:
“Giving out food is great, but do we (also) ask do you have a stove, pots, and pans? How about gas or electricity? Same goes each year when turkeys are distributed.”
And there was this question from a Detroit Forgotten Harvest volunteer who helped us give back.
“Maybe they will have the video of us making turkey and cheese sandwiches”
- Mark Zane
That’s it for now. Thanks for writing and watching.
