WXYZ DETROIT — Let’s catch up on Channel 7 Community Comment responses to some recent station editorials. Because this was the first year of the new Detroit Auto Dealers Association event, one viewer wrote:

“What is this Motor Bella we keep hearing about on the news and seeing on the internet?”

  • Julee Lamme

Hopefully, you got there this year. If you didn’t, go to wxyz.com, check out all the coverage so you’ll know what to expect next year.
One of our Canadian neighbors added this short comment regarding Motor Bella:

“Wish we could (attend)!”

  • Jennifer Vrionis

Let’s hope by Motor Bella time next year, all pandemic travel restrictions will be totally lifted.
Our editorial why it’s important to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month prompted these comments.

Brian Hinz said:

“Why?  Do not ask me why not!”

David Holmes asked:

“(You) have a problem with this?

To which Mr. Hinz responded:

“It’s fine if you’re proud of your heritage, nothing wrong with it in any way!”

  • Brian Hinz

Another viewer said:

“The more we learn about one another’s heritage and culture, the more appreciation we’ll have for each other as human beings.”

  • Allison Garcia

Our editorial on Breast Cancer Awareness Month triggered Janet Mast Stanfield to say:

“Let us not forget that 2,620 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 520 die.”

Another viewer responded:

“For more awareness, look into Dr. Ryan Cole from Idaho.”

  • Greg Nizio

And finally, Julee Lamme said:

“That’s one of the most common causes of death for women, and they’re getting younger all the time.”

That’s it for now. Thanks for writing and watching.
