HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — Highland Park police say they are searching for a trio that could be involved in a dangerous arson fire that happened last Wednesday at an abandoned elementary school.

“He was seen leaving the school prior to firefighters arriving,” says Det. Brian Menge, referring to one of the men.

Police say there are three persons of interest, all recently seen in a YouTube video at the school posted prior to the fire.

We’ve confirmed the fire started in the library and caused extensive damage.

“The nearby homeowners were also put at risk, along with the safety of police and fire who responded to the fire,” Menge said.

The former elementary school is being boarded up once again. If you know who the people in the YouTube video are or can help police find them, please contact the Highland Park Police Department right away.
