MONROE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Monroe Police have arrested the suspected gunman involved in a shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured last Tuesday night.

Officers say on Jan. 30 around 5:30 p.m., Marquis Terrell Evans was taken into police custody without incident. The U.S. Marshal Service and Monroe detectives led investigators to a home on the 500 block of Stewart Road in Frenchtown Township.

Evans was found inside the home and arrested on multiple felony warrants, according to police. His arraignment is pending.

Authorities say the case will be turned over to the Monroe County Prosecutor's Office for review.
