DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating two instances where shots have been fired at officers.

On Sunday, shots were fired around 4 p.m. near the Lodge Service Drive and Wyoming. Police believe a 30-year-old man in a black Dodge Charger fired shots at several people selling food in the area and drove off.

Police say when officers went to investigate, the suspected shooter came back and targeted them.

The man fled, hitting two other cars before leaving his car and running. He was eventually found and arrested.

Police are also searching for another man in relation to another shooting on August 27.

Officers were reportedly conducting an investigation outside of a motel at Telegraph and Six Mile Road when they were shot at.

There is a $2,500 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest.

In both instances, police in the area were not hurt.

Anyone with additional information on either investigation can call DPD or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
