The Grand Hotel theater stage is being dressed, the diverse line-up of speakers is set and the President & CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber says his organization is ready for next week's 2018 Mackinac Policy Conference.  Sandy Baruah and his business leadership event will take over Michigan's beautiful and historic Mackinac Island from May 29 - June 1.

More than 1500 movers and shakers will network, discuss and debate some of the most important issues and policies facing the State of Michigan.  It will be an interesting mix of business, political, educational and community leaders.  It will also be the last time Rick Snyder will address the conference as Governor of the Great Lakes State.  One of the expected highlights of the conference will be a Thursday night face-to-face debate between three Democrats and three Republicans who are seeking Snyder's term-limited job.

This Spotlight interview with Baruah will give you a preview of the action packed business agenda that has been meticulously planned over the last several months.  Join me all week long as Channel 7 brings you comprehensive coverage of the Mackinac Policy Conference.
