DETROIT (WXYZ) — A cold-blooded murder of a pregnant woman has Detroit police working around the clock to catch the person who pulled the trigger.
“I’m outraged by this and the loss of life right before the holidays” says one neighbor who lives only a few feet away.
Police say a second victim is recovering at the hospital. According to detectives, when they arrived on scene, they found two victims with serious gunshot wounds inside a parked car. The woman inside was pronounced dead soon after, and the man was rushed to the hospital.
Sources confirm that 24-year-old Paris Strickland was shot and killed in the area of Fenkell and Artesian on Tuesday at about 7:30 pm.
Her 26-year-old friend was also sitting in the silver Chevy Malibu when they were both struck by gunfire. Sources say a bullet passed in and out of his leg.
