Detroit Tigers’ Opening Day is just hours away and huge crowds will be heading downtown tomorrow for the big game set for 1:00 pm.

All of us are ready for Opening Day and not discouraged by a little bit of snow. Fans will be dressing warm.

They have been very busy here at Comerica Park, putting the finishing touches together.

Detroit police together with state & federal partners will also be out starting very early tomorrow morning.

That means officers in uniform and plain clothes making sure folks all over are partying responsibly.

They'll be monitoring social media to keep everyone safe as well.

Fans at the park also be ready to have bags searched and pass through metal detectors. Remember there are no knives or other weapons allowed.

Remember also to get there extra early - especially with all the construction on Woodward.
