Detroit police are warning drivers about a scheme involving carjackers who bump into their victims to get them out of their cars.
It reportedly happened twice Tuesday in two separate locations.
The first incident was reported around 3:15 a.m. near E. McNichols and John R. where a driver was carjacked at gunpoint.
The second incident happened about 45 minutes later near U of D Mercy.
In both cases, no one was hurt.
Police say two men and a woman who are behind the crimes remain at large They may be driving a silver vehicle.
After hearing of the attacks, drivers we talked to say they are being vigilant and remaining on alert.
Detroit police urge drivers who may be targeted, to call 911 and drive to a well lit area or drive to the nearest police precinct. It could save the life of a driver, who might otherwise be vulnerable to such a violent crime.
