DETROIT (WXYZ) — A dog who was stolen on Christmas Day is now home safe and sound thanks to a WXYZ viewer.
Gary Major left his home on Detroit's west side to go to a Christmas party Wednesday night. When he came back, his dog Rocko was gone. The door was unlocked and pieces of the lock were on the floor when he returned home.
The 92-pound pit bull mix had been stolen along with some shoes and other items.
Major told 7 Action News that he was told the viewer saw the story and knew where Rocko was located. The dog was then brought back home.
