WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) — Prosecutors say it was outside Kelly Beauty supply shop on Van Dyke, that 2 small kids were exposed to dangerous heat, left alone in a vehicle while their mother went to shop.
Mother Ahleshia Norman is accused of leaving her kids in the heat for at least 20 minutes on Tuesday at about 4:30 pm.
Two health department workers told Warren Police they heard crying coming from the vehicle.
The children are confirmed to be okay. CPS is now investigating the case, and the kids have been placed in the care of a relative.
The mother could not be reached for comment, and is currently facing unrelated charges as well.
