Owner of stolen peace sign memorial issues plea for replacement

Posted

Chris Woityra knows the feeling of loss as much as anyone. He's been grieving since the death of his 21-year-old daughter Taylor Beth Woityra, who died of Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2014.

Last June, Chris opened up about the the theft of a giant wooden peace sign, designed and carved as a tribute to his late daughter.

He says it was stolen in broad daylight.

Now, Chris has custody of his 3-year-old granddaughter, who is asking for it to be replaced.

Chris says he's hoping someone can donate a replacement tree stump, 42 inches wide by 5 feet tall, it would allow him to once again honor the memory of his daughter, at his home on S. Sashabaw Rd.

Anyone interested in making a tree stump donation of that size, can email us at wxyzdesk@wxyz.com or contact us on our Facebook page.
