It’s a disturbing love triangle in Ypsilanti that led to violence.
Now the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 14-year-old girl they say stabbed an 18-year-old neighbor in the face and neck with a screwdriver, then took off.
Police say it started with an argument over a guy in the Ypsilanti Township mobile home park all 3 live in, on the 2500 block of Holmes.
Eighteen-year-old Alyssa Hopgood is 3 weeks pregnant. On Saturday she says the father of her baby, her 22-year-old boyfriend Aaron, left her to get back together with his 14-year-old ex-girlfriend.
That 14-year-old girl Desiree waited on the front porch Saturday around 1:30 pm for Alyssa according to police, when the fight began.
"And she grabbed my hair and kept stabbing me with a screwdriver," says Alyssa.
Alyssa has nine stitches in her chin, stitches in her head and wounds on her collarbone, but her heartbreak is even more painful.
"I lost my mother of a heroin overdose when I was 15, I found her dead in the bathroom. So it just keeps adding and adding up and I’m just tired, I’m just so tired," she said through tears.
Police are still looking for 14-year-old Desiree, they believe she is with the 22-year-man the two teens fought over.
When police find her, Alyssa plans to press charges.
"Because the fact that I couldn’t do it for my mom's dealer, I want to do it for myself so I can move on," she says.
Those with information on the incident are asked to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office confidential tip line at 734-973-7711 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
