23 people treated after HAZMAT incident at Ann Arbor's Domino's Farms

Huron Valley Ambulance services says 23 people needed medical treatment after a HAZMAT incident at Domino's Farms near Ann Arbor.

The incident happened Tuesday evening. Officials from the Ann Arbor Township Fire Department, the Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team and the University of Michigan Police Department were dispatched to the scene after reports of a person who was having trouble breathing.

Huron Valley Ambulance transported 19 patients from the scene. Fifteen were taken to U of M Hospital, and four others were taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

Four other people south treatment on their own.

All had minor ailments and are in very stable condition.

According to Ann Arbor Fire Chief Mark Nicholai, a package was delivered to a University of Michigan facility at Domino's Farms. Inside the package was a substance that was later confirmed to be printer ink.

The HAZMAT team ventilated the building and the scene was cleared after about four hours.
