It's Chandler's first day in his new home. The adorable pit bull puppy that was found last month in Detroit's Chandler Park with his genitals mutilated has been adopted.

Chandler's new parents are James Rigato and his girlfriend, Sam Stanisz, and they already have a Red Doberman, Oda Mae, and a huge fenced yard for Oda Mae to show Chandler the ropes.
Rigato is a chef and the owner of the restaurant Mabel Gray in Hazel Park.
Detroit Dog Rescue (DDR), which was able to get Chandler the emergency medical care he needed thanks to donations, delivered the happy pup to his new home Monday morning.
DDR's Executive Director Kristina Rinaldi says this day would not have happened if not for the kind people who found the injured puppy last month.
"Those are the real heroes," said Rinaldi. "Those are the people in everyday life that stand up and do something. They saved Chandler's life."
