There are disturbing allegations against members of a high school lacrosse team.
Police say they're looking into evidence of animal cruelty.
Parents and students confirm an investigation is underway into these startling allegations.
Police sources say one or more Grosse Ile High School boys lacrosse team members engaged in activities that led to the death of an animal
That animal, believed to be a guinea pig, was killed recently.
The district learned about this from police just in the last 24 hours or so. The alleged incident that led to the animal's death took place prior to one of their matches.
Police are not saying much, but we do know the incident didn't happen on school grounds and involved the varsity squad.
We've also asked the school to grant us an official interview, but so far they've declined.
No word on any students being suspended so far.
