A Muslim American woman in metro Detroit may have been the victim of a racist rant just days after the Orlando tragedy.
The victim's sister is now speaking out.
The woman asked us to hide her identity as she shared a troubling tale from Tuesday.
Her sister, also Muslim American, was wearing a traditional hijab covering her head and chest when she came face-to-face with two hostile men while grocery shopping.
Civil rights attorney Nabih Ayad says sadly this latest incident in Dearborn isn't the only one.
As America tries to start healing after the Orlando shooting tragedy, the victim's sister hopes an entire community will stand up to fear and prejudice in the neighborhoods, on the streets and in our fellow Americans’ hearts.
