Spotlight on the News: How 3 hard to count populations are dealing with the 2020 Census in COVID-19

WXYZ DETROIT — On Sunday, May 31, Spotlight on the News will discuss what's being done in three Detroit area populations where historically it has been hard to get an accurate Census count: Hispanic-Americans, Arab-Americans and African-Americans. Why and what special challlenges are they trying to overcome during this COVID-19 pandemic? Our guests will include Rev. Dr. DeeDee Coleman, pastor of Detroit’s Russell Street Missionary Baptist Church, Cindy Gamboa of the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation and Rima Meroueh of the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services, better known as ACCESS.

Spotlight on the News, now in its 55th season, is Michigan's longest-running weekly news and public affairs television program. It airs every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 in Detroit and 11:30 a.m. on 23.1 WKAR-HD in East Lansing.
