Southeastern Michigan Classical Ballet will perform another year of its popular strolling Nutcracker performance, but this year it will be done at a brand new venue.
The show will move from the Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester Hills to a more central location - The Whitney Mansion. That's located at 4421 Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
There will only be four performances: two matinees and two evening shows. They take place on Nov. 14 and 15.
The story of Clara is unique because the show moves from room to room inside the historical mansion, and is not done on a stage. It allows the audience to feel as if they're a part of the production. Each room will be elaborately decorated in true holiday fashion.
The Nutcracker will be performed in an intimate setting. It has sold out each year in the past. To claim your tickets, click here or call 734-362-0880.
In addition to the show, ticket holders will be provided dinner, drinks and valet parking.
