(WXYZ) — In tonight's 7 UpFront segment we're addressing the new concerns and warnings about COVID-19 with the state's new chief medical executive.

Doctor Natasha Bagdasarian took over for Doctor Joneigh Khaldun earlier this month.

"This is not an ideal time to step into any new position," Bagsasrian says. "But I am really lucky to have stepped into Dr. Khaldun's footsteps. She has really led the path and set such a wonderful example on how to lead this pandemic, not only that, but I have been working behind the scenes the past year, so I have been working on the COVID-19 response in Michigan, so it's not that I'm stepping into an entirely new roll right now."
